WITH NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART BOYS & GIRLS CLUB
A landmark $7 million investment will create a new space for local youth featuring Del Rey’s first indoor gym, a technology center, learning lab and more
DEL REY, Calif. (September 22, 2026) — POM Wonderful today announced a landmark $7 million investment, one of the largest to-date in the Del Rey community, to support the development of a new, state-of-the-art Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County – Del Rey Club, expanding access to educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities for youth and families in the Del Rey community.
The new Club will provide a dedicated space for young people to learn, play and grow, while creating a new resource for the broader community. Currently operating out of 1,000 square feet, the new planned 9,200-square-foot facility will provide nearly nine times the space and allow the Club to significantly expand its reach in Del Rey by increasing enrollment from approximately 128 youth annually to more than 500.
“This new Club is an investment in Del Rey’s future — creating a place where young people can learn, play and grow, and helping ensure this community continues to thrive for generations to come,” said Derrick Miller, President of POM Wonderful. “Del Rey is home to many of our employees and their families, who have helped make POM Wonderful what it is today. We believe deeply in giving back to the communities where our employees live and work by creating opportunities that can make a meaningful, lasting difference.”
Plans for the new Club include a full-sized indoor gym — a first for the Del Rey community — along with a technology lab supporting digital literacy, a creative lab for STEM and arts programming, a library and learning center, gaming and recreation areas, and other programming. The facility is also expected to include a communal hall and conference room that will be available to the broader community at minimal cost.

With POM Wonderful’s support, we will be able to serve more young people, expand the experiences available to them and create a space that the entire Del Rey community can call its own.”
The investment builds on POM Wonderful’s long-standing connection to Del Rey and reflects a broader commitment by its parent company, The Wonderful Company, and its co-founders Lynda and Stewart Resnick. The new Club will build on this philanthropic work by creating a permanent community resource in the heart of Del Rey. Construction of the new facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
