Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County's First-Ever NFL FLAG Team Heads to National Championship in Indiana

Seven young athletes from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County become the first All-Star NFL FLAG Football Team to represent the Central Valley at the NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota in Westfield, Indiana, July 23–26.

Members from the organization's West Fresno and Selma Clubs have earned their place among the nation's elite youth flag football teams after winning the Pacific Regional Championship title at the San Francisco 49ers NFL FLAG Regional Tournament in March.

The NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota is hosted by the NFL, ESPN, and RCX Sports and is recognized as one of the premier youth flag football tournaments in the world. More than 350 boys' and girls' teams from across the United States and twelve countries are competing throughout the four-day event. Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County is proud to be the only Boys & Girls Clubs team participating in this year's NFL FLAG Championships.

“This is an awesome experience for these kids to be here. We started less than five months ago and to be at a national tournament this early in their career is just fantastic. We appreciate the RCX Sports Foundation and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America for supporting us and allowing us to be here. These kids worked hard over the last five months to earn the right to be here,” said Ron Zisler, Director of Operations and NFL FLAG Head Coach for Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County.

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, all travel and tournament expenses were covered, allowing every player to compete at no cost to their families.
