Central Valley Teen Conference 2026 Empowers Teens Across Fresno and Tulare Counties

On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County welcomed more than 150 teens from across the region for the annual Central Valley Teen Conference, presented by George & Desa Belyea. Clubs from across Fresno and Tulare Counties showed up in full force. The conference was intentionally designed to give teens space to connect with one another, create new opportunities for themselves, and be captivated by new ideas.

A Day Focused on Teen Growth, Leadership, and Connection

The day started with a resource fair where community-based organizations, partners, and friends of the Club provided access to information and services. Teens engaged in conversations and began building connections that extend beyond the conference, reinforcing the importance of community support and youth development.

Throughout the day, teens participated in breakout sessions led by community leaders and professionals. Each workshop helped teens develop new perspectives while gaining tools they can carry into their academic and personal journeys. Financial Literacy Bingo with FFB Bank brought an interactive approach to money management and real-world financial skills, while the closing carnival gave teens the opportunity to unwind and celebrate their experience.

Keynote Speaker Ralph Edwards Inspires Fresno County Teens

The conference also welcomed special guest and keynote speaker Ralph Edwards, a Fresno native and former Pinedale Club member who has gained national recognition for his musical talent. Last summer, he captured the hearts of audiences nationwide as the 2nd runner-up on the TV show, The Voice.

His story connected with teens in a meaningful way, offering a real-life example of how dedication and passion can lead to more opportunities.

Most importantly, the impact of the Central Valley Teen Conference came from the teens themselves. Their willingness to step into new experiences made the event impactful.
