The entire police department was invited to a BBQ at the East Fresno Club on July 14th. BBQ & Badges had an amazing turn out that surprised Unit Director Samantha Paredes. “When I invited them [Fresno PD] I didn’t expect so many to come. Knowing they have busy schedules, I am so grateful they were all here for our teens,” says Samantha. 13 officers attended BBQ & Badges.

The theme was based around the hit TV show, Fear Factor. “One officer also gave the teens a tour of his vehicle and talked to them about being in law enforcement. They asked a lot of questions and some are interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. It was a great Teen Night,” said Rene Alatorre, Reedley Unit Director.
