All 18 Boys & Girls Clubs throughout Fresno County always have a need for caring community minded people to share their talents, skills and positive outlook on life with the youth we serve. Volunteers dedicate their time and talents in the following Club areas:
Power Hour - Homework assistance and tutoring provided after school for one hour.
Sports Leagues & Outdoor Play Activities - Coaching, sport clinics, referees, and scorekeepers.
Computer Labs - Digital Safety, explore robotics, STEM activities, and mentorship for safety technology use.
Art Programs - Creative ideas, project implementation, special guest presentations, and holiday art activities.
Mentoring - Game room activities in groups, supervision, innovative team engagement activities.
Cooking - Preparation, Serving daily meal, recipes, and demonstrations.
Outdoor & Environmental Education - Nature walks, hikes, snow visits, camp counselors.
Special Events - Set up, tear down, serving meals, registration, technology support, supervision, activities with guests.
Individuals interested in becoming a volunteer at one of our 18 Clubs are required to go through a background check and screening process (18+). This process will give you an idea of how the Clubs function and the volunteer availability. It also gives us an opportunity to learn about you and what compelled you to volunteer for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County. Fill out the volunteer application form, and return it in person to our administrative offices at 540 N. Augusta, Fresno, CA 93701.
Take a tour of the facility where you would like to volunteer. You will learn about the various programs and the daily schedules will be explained to you. In addition, you will have an opportunity to meet some of the members, if possible.
A short interview with a Unit and/or Program Director will provide you an opportunity to ask questions and determine what availability we have.

If you enjoy planning special events and want to help our organization in a special fundraising event then we welcome you to participate in the planning and implementation of a special event that benefits a single Club or multiple. Below is a listing of some of the events that we hold annually.
City County All-Star Football Game
This 65th Annual High School Football Event will be held in June 14, 2019, Kickoff is at 7:30pm at Koligian Stadium. For this event we need several volunteers to help with set-up, program sales, concessions, and clean-up. Donate an Auction Item for our Annual Stepping Out for Kids Gala (September)
Each year, a committee of volunteers host on a gala and auction fundraiser and we need a minimum of 200 items to feature in our auction (silent, premiere, and/or live). If you can help by donating an item and/or service to be featured at the event, it would be greatly appreciated. We always have a need for many types of items, including:
